This year is my first attempt at making cards. Each one is imperfect and keeps me working toward excellence. What really woke me up to imperfection is scanning them to put on the website. In the interest of time, I did not do much brushing up.
These were created using India Ink painted on with a brush and poor handwriting with a nib. Fake gold leaf. Black ink pens.
The first card is the last one created, and of course is my favorite and the only one using metallic water colors. The others are in random order and all were favorites as I became happier with the result.
I love the series, Shawn. Are you creating boxes of cards for people to purchase? The color scheme matches the season and reflects the season’s great beauty. Thank you for this wonderful work. May Mars the peace monger prevail!
Thank you for the kind words, my friend. These cards were just created one at a time though I did wonder if I would some day make a bigger effort to create boxes. Maybe something for the future. I’ll need to get started much earlier than I did for these. 🙂
