Updated April 2020. We had an idea to create a watercolor for the energy of the planet, Saturn, in each Zodiac Sign. Eventually these were to become a calendar. This one is for the eleventh sign, Aquarius, which I am personally quite fond of and close to. This Air sign meets impending instability with objectivity at its best.

Aquarians are known to spend time in the mental realms observing how the ‘structure’ of an idea or ideal may be falling apart. The appreciation of the idea, simply for its existence and community value, conflicts with the awareness that the mental construct is ready to meet its maker.
The structure of consciousness, Saturn, and the Aquarian mind awakes as the idea is new-born, reborn, or reconstructed to reflect modified values presumably more harmonious with future collective developments. This becomes the New Normal.
These eventual calendar paintings were all meant to show Saturn in darker colors, cold, and dense elements.

Shawn, I appreciate both the painting and what you say. Your words about ideas remind me of V in V for Vendetta, an unfortunately named riveting film, one of my favorites that I watch over and over again. It is a story about patience, revolution, changing norms, and mostly the immortality, strength, and resilience of ideas.
The phrase “meet its maker” V used, too. We do seem at a crossroads where the current mental construct is questioned and pray that the Aquarian inspiration will
allow us to create a new norm that promotes harmony and plenty for all.
Thank you so much for this post!
